This beautiful Gombud (meaning "dome)" rug has an extremely fine quality double-knot weave and uses top quality worsted wool. The dome pattern replicates the Islamic (mostly ceramic and inlaid) artwork used in Mughal palaces and mosques. it is a spectacular design and while the intricacy of the pattern may imply delicacy, the rug is extremely durable and suitable for high traffic areas, and easy to maintain.
